Translating European Chemicals Policies - Part 1

Wednesday, February 28, 2024
11:00 AM - 12:15 PM (EST)

To change chemistry, we need sustainable chemistry policies that transcend national borders and create consistent signals. Building Transatlantic understanding and inspiring US policymakers and others and getting them to engage with their EU counterparts and vice versa is an important step in making this happen.

This year, the UMass Lowell Sustainable Chemistry Catalyst and Change Chemistry will hold a series of webinars to act as translators and connectors for information and questions on EU chemicals policy reforms, prepare U.S. stakeholders for pending EU policy developments and build bridges between U.S. and European counterparts.

The first of these webinars will cover EU Chemicals Policy basics such as the EU Policymaking Process, the Green Deal and the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability. Please join us to hear from Jan Ahlskog, Senior Director, at FIPRA and Secretary General of the European Regulation and Innovation Forum.

This webinar is being hosted in collaboration with FIPRA.
